Connecting you and audiences through motion

Sometimes, it's hard to explain what you're doing in words…

That's when explainers come in. Whether it’s a social media campaign or a series of internal training videos, motion graphics can help bring your vision to life. By breaking down complex data and information into comprehensible graphics, we make sure that your target audience can quickly understand your mission, without losing context along the way.

My work is all about

Translating complex ideas to clear visuals

Advocating a better world through design

Adding a little bit of fun and humour into stiff matters

See how we helped the Scottish Women’s Budget Group explain inequality faced by women in Scotland through the depiction of daily chores, which often fall on women, through this training video.

In this video, we explained RainLily, the sexual violence crisis centre’s service to the public, alongside their rebrand. See how we carefully turn a sensitive matter into a video suitable for everyone.

Pairing up with MAD Asia, we produced a series of educational animations for the primary school inclusivity programme. See how we explain the idea of diversity with engaging characters that add a smile to everyone’s face

With experience collaborating with organisations such as the United Nations and the Scottish Women’s Budget Group, my work not only brings visuals to life through motion, but also connects with audiences on a deeper level.

This is Joyce,

I’ve never created an explainer before, how does it work?

Rest assured, it’s as simple as four steps. We’ll walk you through every procedure, developing the script, visualisation, storyboard, animation, and sound mixing, making sure that you’re happy with each stage’s final product before moving on. And in 5-6 weeks, you’ll receive an effective, tailor-made explainer that fully meets your needs.

Pre-production

1

We’ll start by setting the tone and mood for the video through thorough research and scripting a suitable narrative that fits the video direction.

Illustration

2

Once the script has been decided, it’s time to dive into the visuals. At this stage, we’ll go through references and style frames to design an illustrated storyboard. This helps both of us to envision the video, reducing the number of revisions in the next stage

Animation

3

This is when we bring life to the static illustrations. It’s not just about making things move, but also about creating a moving video.

Composition

4

We’re nearly there! Just like you need a final mix before serving a dish, we assemble all the elements into one finished piece. This includes the animation, voiceover, background music, sound effects, and subtitles if needed. We’ll also prepare deliverables in different format ratios for various platforms.
